Position Overview:
My client are seeking a driven and experienced M&A Manager with a strong focus on renewable energy and utilities. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing M&A transactions, specifically within the renewable energy sector. This role requires a collaborative mindset to work effectively across various teams, including equity capital markets, to drive integrated solutions and maximize value for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- M&A Transaction Management: Lead and execute the end-to-end process of M&A transactions within the renewable energy sector, from origination to closure. This includes due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify potential M&A opportunities in the renewable energy space, focusing on trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various internal teams, including equity capital markets, financial advisory, and legal, to ensure a cohesive approach to deal execution and client management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry experts, and regulatory bodies. Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the transaction process.
- Project Leadership: Act as the primary project lead on significant M&A transactions, coordinating efforts across different teams and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Strategic Development: Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm’s M&A activities in the renewable energy sector, identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with M&A transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in M&A, with a focus on renewable energy, utilities, or related sectors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
